What Is the Crazy Horse Prophecy — And Why Does It Matter Right Now?

What Is the Crazy Horse Prophecy — And Why Does It Matter Right Now?

Painting displayed on this post is by Amos Bad Heart Bull, Depiction of a battle scene with Crazy Horse in the Battle of Little Bighorn, drawn by the Oglala Lakota Sioux Amos Bad Heart Bull (Tatanka Chante Shicha) after 1890. (407 pictures about the history of his people are known by this artist, which he created with ink, pencil and pastel colors on paper.)

There is a prophecy carried in the Lakota oral tradition that most people alive today have never heard.

Not because it is secret. But because the world has not yet been quiet enough to listen.

Crazy Horse — the great Oglala Lakota leader whose name most people recognize but whose deeper vision few have encountered — spoke of a time that would come. A time of great separation. Of broken promises. Of shadows cast across the nations, mesmerizing the people, pulling them away from the earth, from each other, from their own true nature.

He described things that had not yet been invented when he spoke. Iron birds crossing the sky. Flashes of light. Ashes and charcoal coloring the horizon.
And then — after all of that — something else.

The grass returns. The earth heals. And all of creation, all of humanity, lives together in peace.

That time he was describing?

It is now. And you are the generation he was speaking to.

WHAT THE PROPHECY ACTUALLY SAYS

The full text of the Crazy Horse prophecy has never been fully written down — because it was never meant to be. It lives in oral tradition, passed from elder to elder, carried in ceremony and in the quiet spaces between words.

What has been preserved and shared publicly are portions — vivid, specific, and startling in their accuracy.

Crazy Horse spoke of a time when the two-legged would be lost in a world of their own making. When the original instructions — the knowing that every living thing was born carrying — would be so deeply forgotten that people would seek healing from everything
except the one place it has always lived:
inside themselves, in relation with the living earth.

He spoke of a 7th generation that would be the turning point.

Not the end. The turning.

Prophecy of Crazy Horse or Tȟašúŋke Witkó

“Upon suffering beyond suffering; the Red Nation shall rise again and it shall be

a blessing for a sick world.

A world filled with broken promises, selfishness and separations.

A world longing for light again.

I see a time of seven generations when all the colors of mankind will gather under

the sacred Tree of Life and the whole Earth will become one circle again.

In that day there will be those among the Lakota who will carry knowledge and understanding of unity among all living things, and the young white ones will come

to those of my people and ask for this wisdom.

I salute the light within your eyes where the whole universe dwells.

For when you are at that center within you and I am in that place within me,

we shall be as one.”

And he concluded with words that I have carried my entire life, that I dreamed before I knew they were real, that have guided every step of what became IndigenousHealing.io:

"When you find that oneness in you, and I find that oneness in me — the whole Earth will be one."

WHY A GREAT-GRANDMOTHER NINE MILES FROM MATO TIPILA IS TELLING YOU THIS

I am a descendant of Chief John Grass — Mato Watapke — of the Lakota Nation. I live nine miles from Mato Tipila, Bears Lodge, the sacred stone formation that has stood at the center of Lakota spiritual life for thousands of years.

I carried a vision of humanity gathering at this place long before I knew Crazy Horse had prophesied it. I dreamed it first. I built IndigenousHealing.io around it before I understood its full lineage.

When I finally encountered the prophecy in its fuller form — sitting with elders like David Swallow Junior, whose teaching I share in the video below — I did not feel surprised. I felt recognized.

That is what prophecy does when it is real.

It does not predict the future like a fortune teller. It names the truth that was always already present — the truth that those with eyes to see have been carrying quietly, waiting for the world to be ready to hear.

I believe the world is ready now. Not perfectly ready. Not comfortably ready. But honestly ready — the way a person in real pain is finally ready to try something they have been resisting for years.

That readiness is Step 1. That is Balance — the recognition that something essential has been lost and must be found again.
You are in Step 1 if you are reading this. And Step 1 is exactly the right place to begin.

Before we go further — hear a living Lakota elder speak of the original instructions, the battle between good and evil in this time, and what it means to walk as a spiritual warrior in the world we are living in now. Let his voice land before any more words:

THE GATHERING THAT IS COMING

The Crazy Horse prophecy does not end with description. It ends with a call.

A call for the people — all the people, all nations, all traditions, all colors of the medicine wheel  to gather. To remember together what they forgot separately. To stand in the presence of the earth and feel the oneness that has always been there, beneath every difference, beneath every wound, beneath every year of forgetting.

I have been carrying a vision of that gathering for 70 years.

On Summer Solstice 2028, we are calling people from every nation to circle Mato Tipila — Bears Lodge — in what we are calling the Circle the Walk of Peace Path. Not a protest. Not a festival. A circle. A fulfillment.

A living, breathing, globally live-streamed act of remembering.

One thousand four hundred Resonance Walkers. Every nation. Every tradition. Standing together at the base of the oldest stone ancestor on this continent, in the moment the prophecy pointed toward.

You are invited. You have always been invited.

The circle begins NOT in Wyoming in 2028.

It begins right now, right where you are, in the free global healing community at IndigenousHealing.io — where people from every nation are
already gathering, already walking Nature's 4 Steps, already becoming the generation Crazy Horse saw. Already remembering how to resonate ONE-ness in their own healing hearts.

AN INVITATION

Come here. Feel the growing global resonance of a family circle gathering 24/7 — people from every nation discovering, each in their own way, in their own time zone, their own sovereign healing capacity. As we open our hearts to Nature's 4 Resonance Steps of Healing — Balance, Harmony, Abundance, Peace — we are drawn into our innate oneness with life and with one another — one love-resonating whisper gathering our global human family, right where they live and right on time, meeting in resonance across the miles, from within — where true healing resonance happens.

  1. Six years ago I read about the prophecy and was connected. I had difficult times. For several years now I have prayed:
"Dear Lord, I humbly ask that you hear my prayer. Please take very special care of...(list of my loved ones and their families, others in my world, and all of the people in the world). I ended asking for all the world be provided with peace, harmony and order, good health, food, and enough prosperity for each person to get by."
The prophecy resonates within me and it has surfaced occasionally in these last six years in various forms as a source of slow revelation and a beacon of hope.

Thank you for what you do. It has great significance for me. I am 74. My calling that emerged 50 years ago is that of imagining (not knowing) the future and developing strategies. To me this is universal.
